About this event
Overview: Late-season ascent of Mount St. Helens via Monitor Ridge starting from Climbers Bivouac (~10 miles round-trip, ~4,500 ft elevation gain). Expect sustained steep boulder scrambling, loose ash/pumice slopes, and potentially cold, windy conditions at the crater rim. Most likely this will be to the crater rim and not true summit (depending on timing / how the group is feeling) Pace & Experience: Moderate, steady pace. Recent high-gain hiking experience required.
