About FunPDX
Portland has an absurd amount of fun happening on any given night — but it's scattered across a dozen calendars, newsletters, and flyers stapled to telephone poles. FunPDX pulls it into one fast, filterable place.
Every day we aggregate events from local sources across the city — venue calendars, community calendars, ticketing platforms — then de-duplicate, categorize, and sort them so you can answer one question in ten seconds: "what should I do?"

Events always link to the organizer's own page — we send traffic to the people making Portland fun, not away from them. Organizers can list events free, and promoted placements keep the lights on.

How we source events
Events come from machine-readable feeds published by the venues and organizations themselves — calendar feeds, ticketing platforms, and public event APIs. We don't copy listings by hand from other event guides, and we don't generate events. If it appears on FunPDX, an organizer published it somewhere first, and we link back to that original listing on every event.
The full catalog re-ingests every day. Each run re-checks every source, drops events that have passed, and records which sources responded — so a venue that stops publishing shows up as a gap we can chase rather than stale listings we keep serving.
Categories, price ranges, and the short "who it's for" notes on each event are derived from what the source published — the title, description, and ticket price. Where a source gives us only a date and no start time, we say so rather than inventing one.
Corrections
Aggregated data goes wrong in predictable ways: a show gets moved, a feed publishes a bad time zone, a venue closes. If you spot something wrong — especially if it's your event — email hello@funpdx.com and we'll correct or remove it. Organizers can ask to have their source removed entirely, no reason required.
Every event and listing page shows when its data was last refreshed. FunPDX is an independent Portland project, not affiliated with any venue, promoter, or ticketing platform.
